Owl Canyon Collection

The Owl Canyon Collection is a nod to the wild beauty of far southwestern New Mexico, where I am now happily living. Here, rugged mountains, wide-open skies and the shifting desert light offer endless inspiration for my handcrafted sterling silver jewelry.

The collection takes its name from an unexpected visitor at the canyon entrance: an owl made entirely of shadow. At certain times of the year, the setting sun casts this owl-shaped silhouette—a fleeting bit of desert magic. In this photo, most of the valley has already slipped into evening shadow, while the Peloncillo Mountains still catch the last warm sunlight. For a little while, the owl keeps watch between daylight and dusk.

I forge these pendants, rings, cuffs and earrings from sterling silver, pairing them with hand-cut stones from the wild West. Some of the stones are sourced from mines within 100 miles of where I live, and you will find stories of these places along with the pieces I make from them.  Each new piece is a way of sharing this very special place with you: its earthy colors, untamed beauty and the quiet surprises waiting for anyone who stops to look.
